It took what it wanted. The adornment, the silken
White dress, the rounds of staled flesh plucked
From the outside. The relic, enshrined in gold or
Enamel, bones lent for salvation efforts wrapped in

My own hands. Morning star,
Be my derivative on earth. Tell me
The calcium scattered across
Your structure exploded from the
Curved cage in my chest.
